Michael Turner    April 21, 1971 – June 27, 2008

We at c0micb00ks.com are sad to say that the life of Micheal Turner came to an end on June 27th, 2008.

Mike fought a super-hero like battle against bone cancer and was only 37 years old…

As we all know, there still in no 100% cure for cancer, and even a super-hero can be affected.

Mike’s Last Cover was X-Men #500

X-Men 500

May the angels above take you home to rest.

We will miss you Mike! Your spirit lives on forever.

This was terrible to hear, I really liked his artwork.

This was a true blow to the comic book community, Turner’s covers were spectacular. I’ll miss buying Turner variant covers… At least he did alot of work for fans before this happened.

This is so sad and terrible to hear.
R.I.P.

I just read about this in the wizard magazine– my hert go’s out to the family, he was way to young.

Hey fans I found a new write up about Michael Turner on about.com

Aaron Albert writes tons of great storys on his website reguarding the comic book industry. Check it out.

Wow I didn’t know this was the last issue. I wonder if that was done by marvel on purpose. Think they might use any of his unpublished artwork on any upcoming issues? He did cool stuff.
